Smoothies are simply awesome. It is a great way to include more fruits and veggies in your diet. I am a huge smoothie fan, especially on a hot day when I need something a bit cooling.
These smoothie recipes are great for a snack or you can have them for breakfast. You can’t go wrong with these delicious recipes.
- 1 medium to large ripe banana
- 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
- Half a cup almond milk (optional) or water
Place the frozen blueberries, banana and almond milk (optional) or water into a blender. Blend and serve.
CHOCOLATE PROTEIN SHAKE
- 2 frozen medium to large ripe bananas
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 2 teaspoons of cacao powder
- Half a cup of water or almond milk
Place the frozen bananas, protein powder and cacao powder into a blender. Add the water or almond milk to your preference. Blend and serve.
GREEN GODDESS SMOOTHIE
- 1 cup of frozen mango
- 2 cups of baby spinach
- 1 small to medium frozen banana
- 1 cup of almond milk (optional) or a cup of water
Place the ingredients into a blender. Blend and serve.
The recipes in the article make for one serving. Double the ingredients to suit your required servings. The smoothies are all vegan friendly and require no added sugar.
You can add water instead of the milk. The milk just adds some texture to the smoothie. Either way, you can add both the water and milk. Play around with the recipe to suite what you like.
Please remember to cover the blender with the lid before using it. Unless of course you want to repaint the kitchen with smoothie.
Bonus: Healthy smoothies count towards your water intake, which is helpful in staying well hydrated.
