GREEN GODDESS SMOOTHIE

smoothie recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups of baby spinach
  • 1 small to medium frozen banana
  • 1 cup of almond milk (optional) or a cup of water

Place the ingredients into a blender. Blend and serve.

The recipes in the article make for one serving. Double the ingredients to suit your required servings. The smoothies are all vegan friendly and require no added sugar.

You can add water instead of the milk. The milk just adds some texture to the smoothie. Either way, you can add both the water and milk. Play around with the recipe to suite what you like.

Please remember to cover the blender with the lid before using it. Unless of course you want to repaint the kitchen with smoothie.

Bonus: Healthy smoothies count towards your water intake, which is helpful in staying well hydrated.

Enjoy!

  1. Great insight Yvonne. Personally I have never made a smoothie. There is now motivation to try now. Thanks to Wikipedia now I know that the home made juices are a sort of smoothie….lol……..I actually learnt from my elder brother the use of bananas on juices to reduce processed sugar in it.
A banana has healthy sugar plus gives you the much needed potassium.

    Keep up the good work.

    Cheers!

    1. Gotta love bananas. Who needs processed sugar when you have nature’s best sugars (fruits). Bananas are a staple in my kitchen. They are a great pre and post workout and very good snack with much needed potassium.
Let me know how you like the smoothies if you try one out.

      Cheers!
